Mini Meet Up With Filipino Bloggers Worldwide Davao Chapter

I haven't attended the Filipino Bloggers Worldwide First Ever Grand Eye Ball held at the Mega Trade Hall 2 last December 2 of 2012 because I live far away from the said location.

This event happened because of the collaboration of FBW ADMINS with the EX-LINK Events Head COO Sir Orly Ballesteros and many others.

When Sir Orly privately message me on my Facebook account that he wanted to see all FBW Davao Members when he's coming back again here in Davao for MICECON 2013, I am so excited reading his message, a day to look forward to I said.

Coming from a man with GREAT MIND and GREAT IDEAS as I describe Sir Orly, this will be a meet up with a healthy sense of talk.   Great interaction and communication, sharing of good things happened inside and outside the group and most of all talking like everything under the sun.

Getting ready for the meet up,6:30PM.  SM Lanang,Sky Garden.

First, Jonas and I meet together near TOY KINGDOM, then followed by LOVE MINDANAO (first time to meet him also)and here comes Sir Orly.  Welcoming Love Mindanao and sir Orly with shaking of hands and beso-beso(means kiss on the cheek or cheek-to-cheek) as well.  Then we proceed to our dinner place, GILIGAN'S RESTAURANT.

Glen Santillan , Claire Rafols, Joey Sky and Jeffrey Rilles are  supposed to be seen in this meet up but apparently they can't join us.  An impromptu meet up indeed!  hahahahaha...

We transfer at BLUGRE fronting GILIGAN'S for our dessert indulgence.

Well anyway, it was a great night meeting Jonas(hmmm an old friend already, hehehehehe), Love Mindanao and Sir Orly Ballesteros. All are excellent wonderful people.

Fun interaction.  Cool Mind.  Great eating thanks so much Sir Orly for a great treat! Can't wait for the next visit.

The night is not yet over, I happened to meet with some of Davao Bloggers, Tere R-n and Natalie Jill Lim. Jonas introduced me to them and we had some great talks not knowing that it is already 10:30PM and BLUGRE is going to close.  Thanks so much for the friendship girls.

18th BIRTHDAY OF CARMELA

Weow!  Another great year to start.  The debutante doesn't want to celebrate her birthday with a FORMAL PARTY gathering.  But for me this is her memorable day, you can have a party without spending a lot of money.  Right?

I celebrated my 18th birthday party with a lot of guests, friends and relatives held at MAGUINDANAO HOTEL.  A bit expensive party, just so lucky I am the only child and my parents wanted me to be happy with my day.

And I want that my niece will also experience a kind of a memorable event of her LIFE.  So simple but so unforgettable.

The program was originally made by NOEL ORTEGA, credit to him of course.

Some of his lines are omitted, just to make the party short and simple.  Well actually the party is called an IMPROMPTU PARTY.  No planned at all, just a little preparation with the bubble gum, polvoron, candy tokens, candles and roses...aside from the cakes, cupcakes, and the food.

The party start at 7:30PM with a dinner, while waiting for her other classmates to arrive from school.

While waiting for the others; I'll call the names of her 18 BACHELORS, actually it's not 18 but 12 BACHELORS only including her father, Mr. Rolando Cataloctocan.  Remember it's an IMPROMPTU PARTY so we lack of boy's present that time.

After eating, we start the party at 9PM.  I'd call the celebrant, Ms. Carmela, to join me in front while the girls are preparing their wishes. Here we have 20 wishes for Carmela, meaning we have many girls present.

20 IMPROMPTU WISHES

  1. INNAH MARIE FUA
  2. ASTRID  BUENACOSA
  3. ABIGAIL AGUA
  4. SHARMAINE LANCIAN
  5. JANINE VERGARA
  6. MYLS UY
  7. DANICA MARANAN
  8. KIMBERLY CABATANIA
  9. CHRISTINE ARAGON
  10. ZETA VETTE L. BUGANI
  11. SHARMAINE REYNO
  12. NINA REYES
  13. JANICA CAPUL
  14. TRINA
  15. NICA
  16. MIKAELA
  17. GWEN
  18. GLOR
  19. KERSTINE
  20. KRIZZA

The girls will have their IMPROMPTU WISHES and offer RING OF ENLIGHTENMENT which symbolizes friendship which binds two persons together and the different colors of candles represents all aspects of hardship and joy to make them more closer together. But before saying their wishes they have to choose between BUBBLE GUM and POLVORON.  They have to chew the bubble gum or eat the whole polvoron while giving their wishes to Carmela.

So much laughter heard from the crowd, inside and outside the compound.  Carmela's classmates really enjoyed the activity I've given them.

After the giving of wishes to the debutante, we proceed to the most important part of the program, the RITUALS of turning 18.  THE DANCE RITUALS with the DEBUTANTE, Ms. Carmela Pal-Cataloctocan.

12 BACHELORS

  1. RALPH BAYHON
  2. RAVEN LOYOLA
  3. ROLLY JAY B. BIONG
  4. IAN CALIHAB
  5. JON RESPUESTO
  6. FREAN ANDREI JABE MOLINA
  7. KING JUMARC AUSTRIA
  8. JOHN PAUL LEGITIMAS
  9. VINCENT RAY ODAL
  10. MIGGY
  11. AVONIEL
  12. Mr. Rolando Cataloctocan

Some dance with her other instead of dancing they render a song to Carmela, just like her father.

After the RITUAL DANCE, we proceed to a QUESTION and ANSWER game, HOW REALLY DO THEY KNOW CARMELA. And whoever got the correct answer will have a candy flower token from the debutante.

And lastly, to officially confirm the heat and legality of this party, Ms. Carmela had to say something to her friends, classmates, relatives and parents.

What a very simple and meaningful evening indeed for Carmela.  And I would like to thank you all the classmates of Carmela from UNIVERSITY OF IMMACULATE CONCEPCION, Our Lady of Fatima(OLFA), and to all her cousins and relatives, especially her parents for giving me the opportunity to handle and organized the 18th birthday celebration of their daughter, my niece, Ms. Carmela.

PARTY TIME!!!!!

ATENEO de DAVAO DANCE TROUPE COWBOY and COWGIRL CHRISTMAS PARTY

The Ateneo de Davao Dance Troupe family holds a reunion every year in December, this time we have it happened at BARRIO BISTRO located at Lacson St., Barrio Obrero.  This is the time where members joined to have a meet and greet moment.  See some new faces and some old faces and saying "HELLO" and "KUMUSTA KA?"(How are you?) are the best highlighted words that night.

Theme for this year: COWBOYS and COWGIRLS CHRISTMAS PARTY, so meaning we have to wear plaid/checkered shirt or pants.

According to our program host for that night, Engr. Hans Pulido he chooses this kind of theme because plaid/checkered resembles a sense of unity even though we have different characters and attributes.  Though it was a night only event, for which Pulido has created for the ADT GROUP, for me this is the most fun and interactive reunion in my LIFE.  From games, prizes and gifts we have received.

MEET THE COMPETING TEAM:

Here we are, back in a funny and awkward moments.  Yes, you will have that moment where you are uncomfortable, though you know each other already since college or some are familiar faces but still have that difficulty to handle or uncooperative way to see things in dealing with your own perspective way.

These things may be intensified by an awareness that we are all motivated to seek a way to have a fun and enjoyable night together with our moderator Ms. Ludivina Quiros and Ms. Emilda Bacon-Ribble.

From dancing to singing, that was ATENEO DANCE TROUPE is all about.  No matter the size of members who have joined the party.  The important thing was the unity we have shared together, continues to grow as our friendships grow, through the good times and bad, as we move we will tell all our new found friends about ATENEO DANCE TROUPE.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND
 HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
